Barry’s was founded by trainer Barry J. in Hollywood, CA in 1998, where he created a new and improved HIIT group workout. This was the moment a new, boutique-style fitness trend was born.
Various successful studios opened in cities on the east and west coasts of the U.S., including New York, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta and San Francisco. Since then, Barry’s has spread around the world, to cities such as London, Milan, Stockholm, Singapore, Sydney and even Dubai. Each location is unique, offering impressive in-club designs and an engaging atmosphere.
Every week, more than 100,000 members worldwide take part in Barry’s classes. Barry’s inspires all of its members to work hard and have fun, find their strengths and be the best version of themselves.
The first Barry’s studios in Germany opened in June 2021 in Frankfurt and in September 2021 in Berlin. The opening for a further studio in Germany is scheduled for 2024. Locations for Austria are also planned.
